About Us

What is the Health Care Learning Network™?

The Health Care Learning Network™ (HCLN™) is a workforce development program. It is designed to help you improve your day-to-day job performance and further your career. You will be able to do this by participating in computer-based on-line and face-to-face foundation and college preparation courses specific to the health care industry.

Who is the training for?

This program is for you if you are a current front-line employee at one of our participating organizations and wish to increase your skill levels, improve your daily job performance, and further your employment positions and careers. Examples of front-line workers include aides, food service, custodial, and administrative workers.


What is the goal of the training?

As a participant, you will gain the academic skills necessary to enter into a community college certificate or degree program in nursing or allied health and ultimately fill a position as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or other allied health occupation such as physical or occupational therapist.


What does the training include?

Academic Training:

  • Introduction to Computers
  • Introduction to Allied Health
  • Math / Algebra
  • Health Sciences
  • Reading / Writing / Composition

Career Planning:

  • Career mentoring, coaching & advising
  • Financial aid planning & assistance
  • Academic assistance, tutoring and planning
